hi Luca, I had come to doubt you were from around here when I read that you could retrieve tiles from the workplace ...

As for the 'aluminizing, the research that I did on-line at the time, It turned out to be nothing in the area here, the only remain Zen (Venezia) e Zaot(Milano).

Good idea, I had no way considered, Lelio to try ... .. :good: :good:

There are no real contraindications, the substantial difference between the two panes is that the pyrex has lower coefficient of thermal expansion compared to normal calcium sodium (ie, it deforms less by changing the temperature with respect to calcium sodium) but here we enter a specific field where the other guys you definitely will explain better than I :good: (I remember reading something about that in a post Giulio…but I have forgotten it)

                              hi Luca,
The glass seasoning, for all I know, It does not affect the hardness, rather for seasoned glass means glass "stationary"

The curing process provides the time necessary to stabilize the tensions that inevitably will come to internally create the glass during the subsequent cooling at the casting of the slab.
Bedding that, if still ongoing during our work, you can imagine what can cause over time saw the infinitesimal tolerances in the game ...... If I am not talking nonsense ...

If the glass you're talking about was purchased by 'e-bay User near Cremona, person from whom I bought my 260×20 mm and from which I also bought the 'top 410×30 mm, pyrex is not common but now unobtainable calcium-sodium glass in the thickness of 30mm ....

Good luck anyway for your project of undoubted difficulties, but at the same time extremely charming :good: :good:

From your ronchi test it seems to me that more than a focusing difficulty there is a vibration induced by the pad that being random as Giulio says does not allow to define it accurately, I continue to read you and I am very pleased to see that slowly the "family" is expanding :yahoo:
